Sampson, John et als.
Wards, Sampson, Charles,
William Sampson was appointed Guardian of the 4 minor children (John, Charles, Susan, and Elizabeth) of his brother Francis after the death of their mother, Susan (Adams) Sampson, in 1857. Francis had left West Brookfield for California 5 yrs earlier. None of those children were living in William's household at the time of the 1860 US census. Most likely they were bound out. John changed his name to John W. Dresser at some point. He was a successful contractor in Franklin, New Hampshire.
