    • Julian co-authored a book about Colonial Fox hunting with A. Henry Higginson called, "The Hunts of the United States and Canada, Their Masters, Hounds and Histories." The book was published in 1908.

The 1910 census in Concord Middlesex, MA, indicated he was single. The 1920 census in Camp Knox, Hardin, Kentucky, indicated that he was married, but at that time he was an Army Lt. Colonel and his wife was not enumerated with him. The 1930 census indicated that he was single.
Report of Death of an American Citizen - form says passport # 460247 issued Jan. 21, 1932 was destroyed. Julian died in Dorset County Hospital.
